As I first imagined this blog, The Traveler’s Journal, I remembered a book I read by Andy Andrews called The Traveler’s Gift. In his book, a husband and father, while feeling life’s pressures, has a car wreck. In its aftermath, he travels through time to seven specific persons during specific events of their lives – such as Anne Frank, Harry Truman, and King Solomon – and he comes away from each encounter with a take-away: a gift that will enable him to meet life’s troubles with more preparation and hope. As I write in this blog, I will occasionally highlight verses, quotes or truths that I think may be gifts in that same manner.
Walk with me. ~ God [Genesis 17:1]
